HIDDEN DATA

An old upgrade copied some site details into fields this app can no longer show or edit. You have never seen them, but they are in every backup and every copy you send. Removing them does not touch anything you can see — your sites, contacts, equipment, test records and defects all stay. A backup is taken first.

One file holds everything — clients, sites, plans, tests and photos. Save after changes; share via OneDrive. Backups live in ⚙ Settings.

Keep the register in your own Microsoft account so it follows you between devices. Nothing is sent anywhere else — the app talks straight to your OneDrive.

Line tools: Chain joins each new line to the last, and lines snap to nearby ends, middles and crossings (turn that off in ⚙). Trim / Extend and Crop plan are in the Modify tab — Crop draws a box or an outline round the part of the plan you want and keeps your drawing with it.

Who did what in this register

Removes the cached register, backups, saved plans, planner data, PA recordings, library files and preferences from THIS device only. Register and plan files saved on disk / OneDrive are untouched — reload your register file afterwards.

Things the office sets once and then works off. They are in here rather than on the Office header because they are not day-to-day.

Business & tax
Business name, ABN, GST, quote terms and bank details — they appear on the documents this app produces.

Pricebook
Your rates and prices. Quoting and invoicing read them without you opening this.

Service charges
Call-out and standing charges, set up once and then applied for you.

Your own business details. They travel inside the register file and appear on the documents this app produces. Nothing here is sent anywhere.

These print on your invoices so a customer knows where to pay. Leave them blank and the payment block is left off the document entirely.

While this is off, no tax is worked out or shown anywhere, and documents are titled Invoice rather than Tax invoice.

Tax codes are yours, not ours — nothing is filled in for you. A code is a name your accounting system knows, such as GST_ON_INCOME. Rates are stored as whole basis points, so ten per cent is stored as 1000 and can never become a rounding error.

Printed in words on every document, because it is the most misread number on one.

A quote is valid for

Days. Printed on every quote as “Valid until”. Frozen when the quote is sent, so changing this cannot expire a quote a customer is already holding.

Terms printed on every quote

One line each. Written from what Australian trade businesses commonly put on a quote — a starting point, not legal advice. Read it once and make it yours. The payment line and the Australian Consumer Law line are added automatically: the first so it always matches your invoice terms, the second because a term that tries to exclude those rights is void. Frozen when a quote is sent.

Payments recorded here BEFORE this date stay here, frozen as history — readable for ever, never edited again. Your accounting package owns everything from that day on. Nothing is migrated and nothing is duplicated, so there is no second copy to reconcile.

Play a pre-recorded announcement over the PA / intercom before testing. Stored on this device only — never saved into the register or included in any export.
